As we approach the full-on festive period, every day can feel like the 12 days of Christmas rolled into one on your daily travels. 12 big boxes. 11 urgent parcels. 10 signatures needed. 9 Christmas bikes. 8 leave it with the neighbours, we could go on, but you get the full Christmas picture and we’re sure you’ll end up delivering a partridge in a pear tree at some point, too.
To help add some jingle to your way, we’ve put together a few, simple festive ideas to jolly up your day and help spread the Christmas spirit everywhere you go:
We think of you as modern day Santas, delivering gifts across the country in the run up to the big day. To honour this, wear your Santa hat with pride to show everyone you are part of a big Christmas delivery team. According to our survey, 76% of those who add festive touches to their deliveries like to wear a Santa hat in the run up to Christmas. So, this year let’s up the numbers to show you mean serious Christmas business.
When we say halls we mean your own cockpit, your space up in front of your delivery sleigh (van). Add a few fairy lights, a Christmas bauble hung from your rear-view mirror, or a touch tinsel on the dashboard to turn your cabin into your own festive grotto*
Of the drivers we surveyed, 30.3% of drivers love to add festive touches to their deliveries.
*Within reason – safety is key when it comes to our drivers.
Get in the full festive swing as you make your deliveries by putting together a playlist of your own favourite Christmas tunes. You can take charge and be your very own delivery DJ with your musical selection box. Whether you prefer jingle to jungle, or favour Bublé over Band Aid, you get the final say over the playlist. Your van, your rules.
A few simple things for you to do to make every day feel like Christmas as you ensure that everyone gets their gifts in plenty of time.
That just leaves us with one final thing to say – Happy Christmas! – and thank you for all your hard work.
